Yeah I can tell. But I do agree with you. My cocker spaniel has a tendency to be meaner than my bigger dog. But e'one is scared of the bigger one.....German Sheppards get a bad rap too and mine kinda looks a little like one of those, just a lot bigger, but the one you need to watch out for is the cocker. I think the meaner dogs *not any specific breed* need to be put down......

I have a friend in Texas that has a big honkin' pit bull that is sweet as pie.
I have seen German Shepards that would keep small children in their
own yard. A lot of small breed dogs can be mean as hell. My Border
Collie wouldn't even bark if someone was stealing everything that we
own, but if a strange dog takes a wizz on a tree on our property he will
kick their ass. The pit bull breeders and a lot of other "bad rep breeds"
need to make a strong effort to eliminate "bad actors" from their gene
pool. The Rottwieler (sp) would be my second choice for dogs that
need to be watched out for. Bad dogs need to be put down... not made
the symbol for animal cruelty.

Can you tell I am bored and feel the need to type? <G>

I think the little taco bell dogs *can't spell the dog name* are born mean, they just can't do much harm. I have an Alaskan Malamute that is the sweetest dog you will ever meet, *unless* you piss her off. My cocker spaniel has seen her wrath many many times

Yes they can... and I have seen a couple of mean ass German Shepard's
too. But.... I am a firm believer that some dogs are just *born* mean.

"A rose by any other name".....

And the last 8 out of 9 times that some person was killed by a dog
it was *what* breed?

Pit Bulls Renamed 'New Yorkies'

New York City's animal welfare agency is giving the pit bull a public relations makeover by renaming it the "New Yorkie." Ed Boks came up with the idea after moving to New York from Phoenix to direct New York City's Animal Care and Control. Boks says New Yorkers often are perceived in much the same way as pit bulls -- as standoffish and mean -- but both are actually "generous and open-hearted," the New York Post reports. Pit bulls perform higher on behavioral tests than even the family friendly golden retriever, according to the American Temperament Test Society.
