Ever hear of something called a preflight check?

It scares the bejesus out of me when I see (or hear about) a pilot with a
brand new 50-70Oz plane just hook it up to the winch/high start and launch
away. You forget things, you overlook things, you could kill someone.

<stepping UP on soapbox>
Take a second (OK, more like a minute) and look over the plane, wiggle the
controls, check the CG. If someone else is there, ask the to do it. They
might see something obvious you have gotten used to.
<Hopping DOWN>

Tom (who speaks from experience of one very dead HLG (thank goodness it was
light!))
