If you want a wagon, consider a post 1983 Mercedes Turbo Diesel Wagon. These cars sell for less than $7K used, get about 30 miles per gallon on diesel fuel which is usually cheaper when gas prices spike and this car has plenty of power. The maintenance consists of oil and fuel filter changes and 200K is low mileage for these cars. I will be looking for one in the near future myself.......
