On the Users' reflector there was a short thread on backups.
From there to the HELP, I think that I have learned some more.
I think that I might change my backup method and backup file.

This thinking is difficult as it raises many more questions than it answers.

One thing that has been bothering me for awhile is how do the people who have things in fairly good control file their documents?

I split my harddrive into various logical drives.  Each of the logical drive is for a main hobby or activity, with C being reserved for programs alone.  (I hate that MS programs thingy and "My Documents, My Pictures, My A**!!)  For the D drive that is main data for almost, I have split it into years, 1999, 2000, 2001,2002, 2003,2004, and now 2005.  Then sub files under that.  However, I am beginning to think that I should have done it D drive subject then year.  Also, I would like to cross ref some of the info.  I have some stuff on the data drive (Mainly what I have done)that I would like to associate, connect, link, etc whatever, to stuff I have on H drive and/or E drive.

I was looking at a program that did such but never found anyone who used it.  It took over the File Manager, I think that it was Brain Plan or something.

I am storing a lot of info on OOo and other Open Source apps.  And have lost some.

Anyone have any comments, please.

Chris
