Btw. i've seen some debian package for the SocketCAN utils (on debian.org??) -
but i don't know it's current state.

Yes, we should check, which of the tool are really relevant to 'common users'.

What can.txt?

The can.txt in socketcan/trunk/kernel/2.6/Documentation/networking/ has been
already splitted up into small chunks by Daniele Venzano.

Did you try 'svn up' ?? :-)
