Hey!!! OK, you guys convinced me to install Debian on an old laptop... :-) After that, I followed the very good Voyage Linux setup guide, partitioned the CF card and installed it - and... It works!!! :-) I had to use Lilo as the boot manager unfortunately since Grub just wouldn't work, but now I got it running! I just have one more problem: I can't apt-get install anything. When I do apt-get update, I get the following: E: Unable to write to /var/cache/apt/
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened. As I'm doing that as root, it almost seems like / is mounted as read-only, I don't see anything like that though... And if the system is locked down, what do I have to do to unlock it?
