HD notbook drives with 500 GB have only a SATA-Interface.
I have never seen a HD notebook drive with IDE-Inteface which is bigger
than 250 GB.
Correct me when you have a 500 GB Drive with IDE-Interface.
Robin, if you have one I want to know where you have ordered an
IDE-drive with 500 GB.

Do you know that you have only one SATA-connector on the board because I
mean your hard drive have also a SATA-Interface?
The other problem is whether the comBIOS can boot from a CD-Drive.
I don't know, but it seems it can not boot from a CD drive.
Do that know someone on the list?

I use the PXE boot option for installing Debian. It works very well.

The CF-Card ist /dev/hda (the command is "boot 80").
The SATA connector is /dev/hdb (the command is "boot 81")
To boot over PXE (the command is "boot f0")

Question to the list:
Is the IDE-Interface on the Soekris net5501 board also the /dev/hdb?
I have it not tried, because I have no IDE notbook drive for testing.

Is it right that I can only to connect an IDE HD or a SATA HD to the
board, but not both simultaneously?
