We have reproduced the problem and after some testing we have concluded that the OpenBSD AHCI driver is not that good (reported elsewhere too), creating problems with some SSD's, including the Trancend devices that we sell. The only solutions are to switch operating system, wait for OpenBSD to fix it, or use another SSD.... We have tested the Western Digital SiliconDrive A100 serie and Micron/Crucial m4 series, both seems to work just fine with OpenBSD and are easily available.
