Identical configurations already exist and are not easy to achieve without the same hardware exactly. Your existing software is very friendly because it admits many styles of mixer and LO which keep the project very open for amateur experimentation. Including all the hardware control (including DDS LO) imposes the LO (and the DDS) and the associated circuits I suppose, which reduce dramatically the opportunity to have its own hardware and exact duplication will be the only way to succeed. In my opinion, the existing software is very nice and the only improvement to the RX section will be a true SMeter. Considering the transmit section a simple12 kHz I/Q output would be fine and enough. It could be generated with a secondary sound card to avoid sophisticated switching, in this case a single RX/TX command will be needed. May be I'm wrong but this is my point of view....If somebody have other ideas.....!! Best regards, Gérard/F6EHJ > > > > > > Yahoo! Groups Links > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------ Yahoo!
