 You will *always* need a full duplex card.... when you are receiving, you need 
the
input part of the card to accept the I/Q signals from the hardware, and the 
output
part of the card to send the decoded audio to the speakers... so the card must 
be
able to work in full duplex mode, whatever SDR program you are using (unless 
you want
to limit yourself to just processing wav files..). 
Luckily, almost all of today's cards are capable of full duplex.
