You're right. Freezing the weights did help. However, for whatever
reason, the mesh is still not picking up the cage's deformations. It
just stays still... no idea what's going on here. I'll look into the ICE alternative. I'll see what I can come up with. I'll also check with the CG sup about having these patches bypass the anim dept. We cache everything afterwards anyway, but I need them to move first. Thanks Steven!
