I agree with the original sentiment of this thread and Eric's comment. I like the idea of using something like UserVoice - I think IdeaScale is a good solution as well. Voting sites make it easier to quantify what the questions/concerns are than a running list. This would make it easier to present issues that the community would like to see addressed before development ceases.
