you can not do this since the Ultra 10 uses Enhanced IDE Disks and the Ultra 2 uses SCSI Disks (with the 80-pin SCA2 connector). two different standards not to mention the connectors. the easiest way is to put the disk in another workstation or server that users SCSI disks with the SCA2 connectors.

I think a Sun Unipack should also work, like one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=58323&item=5726804146 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3085145530&category=56099

You may be able to get one cheaper from a local reseller.

That's a good suggestion. Ifound one of the Ultra SCSI StorEdge Unipack w/ 9GB drive here at the office. The trick now will be to remove the drive from the Unipack and replace it with the HD that I took out of the Ultra 2. According to the labels in the Unipack the drive is supposed to be replaceable by the end user. Do you know how I'd do that? There are some unusual screws that have tiny six-pointed stars. I think I'll have to find a tool to remove them?
