I agree. I've been meaning to recommend that be added. We've found it
invaluable in the past (mostly with debugging) when doing federated and
distributed search. I would like to see a "shard" field added which would
contain the base URI of the shard where the result originated as provided in
the request. The index of each result is less important to me, but I can see
how that would be useful.
