Are you thinking the command pattern would be the preferred way of doing a
SolrIndexSearcher.search(), possibly even deprecating the existing methods? I
think that makes sense, but seems to be a big change to add to this patch. I
think I'd prefer to see it fleshed out in a separate issue. The methods
returning Hits should probably be deprecated in Solr 1.3 anyway since Hits is
going away in Lucene 3.0.
