The SMC state director Peter Okuj Ayul said the bags of flour from Juba were destined to Unity State capital, Benitu. "We have confiscated 500 bags of spoiled flour at Malakal River port bearing the Pakistani Royal trademarks. It was brought from Juba". "The flour was impounded because it contained dead and live insects. It also had a strange smell. That is why the corporation decided not to release it ," Ayul added. The standards director identified the owner of the expired flour as Yariet Kafalai, an Ethiopian businessman. According to Ayul, the flour would be destroyed. He however said it is not the first time the corporation is confiscating expired food commodities from foreign traders. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
