While that's true, as of now we are shipping "postgresql84" for RHEL5, which provides 8.4.x. So if anyone cares about testing on RHEL5, it should be sufficient to change the dependencies to reference postgresql84 instead of postgresql. (I think this also means that the original goal of being able to run on PG 8.1 is a dead letter.)
