Most of that is probably DCC and perhaps the SBL URI test.  I'd count
the answer packets separately from the question packets as well and
distinguish between negative (NXDOMAIN) responses and positive ones.

This really doesn't say anything useful.  Do a profile with
Devel::DProf.  An actual profile would have avoided (and will avoid in
the future) a lot of premature (discussion about) optimization.
