Besides the fact that the code was already reverted, we've gone through the trouble of coming up with (and even documenting) the policy/procedures used in developing SpamAssassin, and in this case R-T-C mode. If we arbitrarily decide to ignore them, there was really no point in coming up with them in the first place.
