I do agree with you. Why would you be getting mails in like that though?
I'm not sure how you are doing it but I do it through maildrop and have it
specified to only do one transfer at a time. I know it slows down the server
some but I guess it should also make for a more secure bayes db also. Come to
think of it now that i have maildrop doing clamscan, anomy and spamassassin I
think i will remove amavisd from my postfix config I dont like the way it
does things anyway. But if there is a possibility that amavis by doing
multiple concurrent connections can destroy the db better safe than sorry.
To my knowledge though is spamassassin cant get a lock it just bypasses the
learning so I'm not sure why this would happen anyway. Maybe somebody who
knows spamassassin better than I can pipe up.
