Bouncing spam creates extra network traffic that we could all do without. As 
you seem to be aware of the problems with forged returned paths your choice 
is not being dictated by simple ignorance. 
If you don't want your users to know about potential spam then simply delete 
it. By bouncing it you are going to cause more problems than you solve.
