It's almost certainly a time zone mismatch. Here's what we tell our
customers about time zones:

Verify that all four of these time zone settings are the same:
* Your Mac (System Preferences > Date & Time > Time Zone)
* Each iCal Calendar (If iCal > Preferences > Advanced > Time zone
support is turned on, then in the calendar view check the setting
above the search box in the upper-right corner of the window)
* Your Google Calendar settings (Google Calendar > Settings > Your
current time zone)
* Each Google calendar (Google Calendar > Settings > Calendars >
(calendar name) > Calendar Time Zone)
* Each device that you sync with (phones/iPods)

If that doesn't pan out, please let us know.
