Is there any reason console should not be supported by default..
It _would_ be nice to be able to use standard tools (aumix) to
adjust the volume. Where the changes _should_ be is an interesting
question. That said, once the new code gets in the kernel proper
then the question is moot.
On the keyboards, are the keys known to not be used at all in Linux on
Sparc? If not, is it a kernel feature or bloat to allow driver param
settings via the kb? Basically, if the module is loaded and the
key is pressed, chit-chat to the module and up the vol.
(forgive the language, me 'n' kernel mods don't often get too close).
It is after all a real feature of the hardware.
On another note. How do I get 'shutdown -h now' to actually switch the
machine off...
