Looks
to me like the NVRAM is expired.
You can check this if the MAC address reported at system
boot-time is nonsense....
Check-out the FAQ at www.squirrel.com
If it has then you need to source a new one and then program
it.
All explained in the FAQ.
Also I
would suggest you try to get or borrow a puckker SUN/Sony CDRom
drive.
I tried installing RedHat using a Plextor x32 CDRom and it
didn't work.
I
tried again with the real SUN CDRom and all worked
fine......
Wierd.
The Plextor Drives are normally very good and *very*
compatible.
