I had the same problem on my alpha with redhat 5.2 and X crashed much
more. Most time it crashed when opening a new window. After updating X to
a new version (I think it was 3.3.3) it got much more stable.
On redhat 5.1 sparc I had this problem with other WM's too.
I have a sparc2 with cgthree. I'll take a look as soon as I can update to
RH6.0
