Hello,
I use a Sparcstation 10 since a couple of days. It has an internal floppy
drive and I booted from a boot disk created with rawwrite and the
correspondend boot32.img from redhat ftp. Everything worked fine. If You
don't have a floppy drive then try this. It seems that this second solution
also is OK because I tested booting on a diskless Sparc classic:
1. Enable tftp service on a server running inet.
For this you have to enable the line with something like tftp in
/etc/inetd.conf (there are some pages on www.redhat.com explaining this
more in detail, search for the item "diskless" and you'll find it.
2. Put the tftp32.img on the tftp-server in the desired directory
3. Set the PROM on the Sparc to boot from the net from the tftp server.
Tyte "help Ethernet" and you'll get all you need.
4. After booting the kernel from tftp the system installation is continuing
menu driven.
