In my ongoing effort to install Linux on my SparcStation 1+,
I tried the RedHat installation with none of the optional
packages selected. Someone suggested a few days ago that the
installation might work with nothing extra selected from the
list. I did manage to get a step further, but then the system
displayed the following error message: Fatal Error Opening RPM
Database.
Any more suggestions? Is there a way to get past this?
Solaris is starting to look pretty good right now.
