Hi List,

we would like to set the following attributes for our network devices(routers,
firewalls etc..)

Interface Errors - Incoming

10min

Major

>1%

Interface Errors - Outgoing

10min

Major

>1%

Interface Discards - Incoming

10min

Major

>1%

Interface Discards - Outgoing

10min

Major

>1%

In Attribute Editor there are a folder with those attributes
> (Thresholds-->Interfaces Thresholds) but as I've said, I cannot find those
> IDs

> Someone knows which are those attribute IDs??

> % Errors Thresholds
> % Errors Reset
> % Errors thresholds violation duration
> % Discarted Thresholds
> % Discarted Reset
> % Discarted thresholds violation duration
Have not found these attributes in
$SPECROOT/PolicyMgmt/Spectrum/policy-settings-spectrum.xml also?

If we keep 1 % for these attributes(showing in micro percent)in attribute
editor , getting lot of alarms for all interfaces (PERCENT DISCARDS THRESHOLD
EXCEEDED-MINOR) of one of our firewall.

Sample Alarm for one interface of our firewall :

Alarm Notification from Mahindra Satyam Monitoring System

Alarm SET:

Date: 03/16/2011

Time: 16:24:16 IST

Node Name:

AlarmID: 32130514

IPAddress:

EventMessage: Wed 16 Mar, 2011 - 16:24:16 - Threshold Exceeded for PERCENT
DISCARDS for an unacceptable duration. The threshold value is 0.000001 %, and
the current value is 79.150579 %. Model Type = Gen_IF_Port, (event
[0x0001133a])

How spectrum can calculates these attributes ? Could you please help.

Thank you
