We're thinking about moving from Windows to Solaris when we upgrade to the next
version of SPECTRUM.
Would someone please let me know what types of "gotchas" I need to know?
Here are some questions:
a) In the Install docs, I saw Solaris 9 or 10 with CDE. What about Solaris
x86? Will SPECTRUM run on that?
b) Can I migrate the SSdb & DDMdb in Windows format to Solaris when running the
upgrade?
c) Should I keep the OneClick server as Windows or move it to Solaris too? Is
there a performance increase moving to Solaris for OneClick?
d) Do I need "root" access or is "sudo to root" sufficient? The docs say I
need root privileges, so I'm concerned.
