Dan,
Could you elaborate exactly what you got after the VMWare admins on with
regards to allocating resources to the VM guest?
My SpectroSERVERS and One Click Servers are virtualized which I feel is
not an ideal situation. For example they have a pretty aggressive (if
that is the right term) vMotion threshold set where the SS and OC
servers are vMotioined, sometimes several times a day depending on load
of the ESX chassis. That can't be good for a busy SpectroSERVER.
We have built a new VMWare environment where we will specify new
criteria for the VM guests that will host the Spectrum environment. One
vote I have is to NOT enable vMotion.
Other config best case criteria would be helpful to recommend.
Thanks!
