Why does a calc plate state that the flow and pressure are taken from the base of riser and ask what hose stream is taken at the base of riser as well when most hose streams for residential, light and ordinary hazard projects is placed outside near at the source?
I understand the theory but it seems we should be able to explain on the plate that a hose stream was included but not at the base of riser or the readings should be taken from the source as well and included on the plate. Also, it seems to me that providing the static and residual pressures used on the calcs should be there as well so you can not only check the pressure required at the riser but compare the water supply. I know this is supposed to be kept on the report by the owner but it seems rare that the numbers are readily available.
