Not so long as they keep an eye on the discharge gauge and avoid human
error.

anyone want to buy a used residential sprinkler system?
Need to buy a gun. I heard ALL home invasions result in death of the
homeowner. Gotta love it. Near us NAHB testified the lack of city water in
an area could be overcome by parking used milk tankers around the
neighborhoods, instead of residential sprinklers....
On the national level, they say it should be decided locally.
On the local level, they say it should wait until its in the national code.
What will they say when its in the national code and the locals adopt it?

Subject: UG FIRE LOOP - pumper connection

I have a job which has a 2000GPM fire pump supplied by a 12" city main.
The pump in turn feeds a 10" UG fire loop that runs around the building.
The FDC connection is located away from the building and connects to the
10" fire loop. A fire hydrant supplied from the municipal water supply
is located next to the FDC. So the pumper truck will hook up to the
municipal hydrant and pump into the FDC for the UG loop. Do you see any
potential problems with a pumper truck, rated for 1700 GPM, pumping into
a fire loop supplied by a 2000GPM fire pump?
Thanks,
Dewayne
