Dennis,
The chart is probably something standard and would not be 'pitot
specific'. There may be a chart on line, but I couldn't find one.
There is also something in the NFPA standards that would give you the
same thing, but the exact number escapes me.
I'll e-mail you privately an Excel program for a water test graph
that will do the calculation automatically (about 1/2 way down the
page) and can also be used for an output form. Hopefully that will help

Todd, I may be asking the wrong thing. My Pitot Gage came wiyh a
chart that translated pitot reading when held in the water stream X
Oriface size [ say 2.5" hydrant opening ] to GPM. I only do a few
flows a year and they are for my reference only. I ALWAYS get the
official water info from the proper AHJ do design. Less liability
that'a way. I wish I had a Hose Monster but it's not something I
would use much.

Dennis,
Why would the pitot have a chart? Is this actually a diffuser or
nozzle with a built-in pitot?
What I did with my Hose Monster was to use the chart and calc
backwards to come up with the K factor, then I wrote it on the HM
with a permanent marker. That way, if I lose the chart, oh well.

I have a "Sierra" brand Pitot I bought circa 1990 and my Fitter
lost the chart yesterday while doing a flow test. I think it is the
very similar to the one listed in the Potter Roemer catalogue. I was
hoping someone could email or fax me a copy? Hate to buy a new one
over the chart. Thanks in advance.
