The balcony is not protected as permitted by 13R and local code. Actually, the storage room is not heated. At least, doesn't show being heated on the mech/elect contract drawings. I threw that in, as I'm in the process of getting it confirmed, and wanted to know whether that would have an effect on the stuation.

How is the closet heated? If there is an electric heater in a storage closet, I would be very concerned about that as a potential ignition source. If there is warm air fed from the dwelling, it doesn't meet the standard of no penetrations. Is the balcony protected?
