G: I would be the contractor you replaced for the stores your doing. I may not have done it in the same way he did, I'd notify the owner, and make him aware of his responsibility to notify the AHJ and I'd do it in writing. Then after a week or ten days I'd copy the AHJ. This gave the owner time to meet his obligation, and make whatever negotiated agreement to correct he could with the AHJ, before I notify the AHJ directly.
