I got shot down in a high-rise on this; but there is an exception in IBC for the playing surfaces in indoor arenas or similar things that may help- But from an FPE point of view, there's no cooling of steel without the spkrs throughout; just because there's no fire load doesn't mean the heat won't follow the slope up over the pool and affect its integrity.

Can someone point us in the right direction... we are being directed not to sprinkler over top the pools at an aquatic center they are only asking for the floor area around the pools? Has anyone had any experience with this situation? We can't find anything in nfpa?
