Has anyone ever had to perform a surge analysis to determine the water-hammer forces on piping for the purpose of designing pipe restraints for a fire protection system supplied by a pump. We are being asked to provide this and the software KY Pipe was recommended. I'm used to just using NFPA 24 for this. It's a big underground system at an overseas manufacturing facility.
