Rowe Sprinkler is a member of the Pennsylvania Builders Association, part of
the NAHB. The PBA filed suit in the PA Supreme Court to stop the 09 IRC
sprinkler mandate.

They've asked us members to go online and post comments to the various blogs
and news articles where comments have been posted. Being a good member, I
thought I would ask for help from my friends in addition to posting comments
on how I feel about residential sprinklers.

Please do as Scott asks below, GO ONLINE AND POST COMMENTS WITH HOW YOU FEEL
ON THE SPRINKLER MANDATE.

On behalf of the PBA, I thank you in advance for your assistance in TELLING
THEM HOW YOU FEEL!!!

FROM THE PBA:

Take 5 minutes and help our cause!

PBA has filed a lawsuit in Commonwealth Court to stop implementation of the
2009 building codes, which will add $15,000 to the cost of a new home. We
have gotten extensive news coverage around the state on this topic. While we
continue to stress to reporters that our emphasis is on a building code that
is expanding out of control, the press frequently chooses to focus on the
sprinkler requirement.

Members can help us spread our message. We have about a month before our
court case will be heard, so now is the time to voice your opinion. Watch
for code and sprinkler stories in your local paper. If the story is
published on the Web, the public is frequently invited to post comments at
the end of the article. We're finding that readers are very supportive of
our efforts to block this new government mandate. Like us, many want
sprinklers to be a consumer option, not a government requirement. Many don't
want sprinklers in their new homes, and others share our concern that
sprinklers will hurt new home sales and the state economy.

Here's how to get involved

Watch for these articles on your local newspaper's Web site, and then make
your feelings known by joining the public discussion. Now is the time to be
heard if we are going to have a positive impact keeping new homes
affordable.
