How are you guys breaking out your inspections versus testing for systems? So far for me, all I've been upgrading my old testing accounts to is to suggest they have us do a cursory inspection for spacing, obstructions, damage, etc., just visual. I have a few clients whose insurers have requested full compliance with NFPA 25 but with little explanation. I tell them it's a little like asking how long a piece of string is and that's the wrong answer. What I'm trying to break out is the tasks that become requirements after the first year, per 25, but it gets complicated.
Brief example: How are you approaching a client with a wet system installed in 1964 that got a few years of tests by various sprinkler and alarm companies? Are you tracing back through your state codes for the applicable edition of 13A or current referenced edition of 25? How and why? Thanks. _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
