Yes, that is dumb. Not only does 13 not require electrical air supervision, 25 only requires that the gauge on the air side be checked once a week. Yet in the '08 edition of 25, we now require an air pressure test at 40 psi for two hours. If it drops more than 3 psi in that time, then air leaks must be addressed. Sounds like we need to require either electrical air supervision on all dry systems or recorded inspections of gauges not less than daily. This entire subject area needs to be coordinated in 13 and 25. No Roland, I am not volunteering to prepare the proposals, but will put it on my "when all caught up on everything else list, do it" to do list.

Who says the air supply has to be automatic? It is certainly a best practice which we virtually always do, but if the owner is happy with using a manual air supply, that complies. Now isn't that dumb! Roland On Mar 18, 2010, at 11:16 AM, Greg McGahan wrote: > This is a friendly discussion and not a conflict.
