I have a predesigned system for an assisted living facility, 2-
stories, 40.000 sq ft, combustible construction, no attic areas,
modular construction ie: 2 hour seperation walls between units as well
as 2 hr ceiling, 30 minute self closing doors etc: whereas we
installed the lines in the factory.....each unit faces a common
hallway, thus two heads in bedroom and then kitchen, open hall and
then reverse unit (2 heads) or living room dining room, my prob is the
E.O.R. only performed a 2 head calc., now..... I have a corridor (5
head calc) and dining area of 840 sq ft with no opening protection
thus requiring the additional heads in a calc.....right?? The 1"
system seems inadaquite, plus the 4" fire line and "Silver Bullet"
backflow have been reduced to a 2" line with a watts 709 .....I have
serious issues signing off on this...any help...oh yeah it's in NJ
What are my responsibilities? Alert the AHJ, the contractor has
already snubbed me, "they designed it with the info
avaiable"....helpless in PA
