Prior to that, they had a partial system which was capped off an abandoned above the new ceiling. (the new system provided coverage where the old system had previously). The old system still has sprinklers installed. I told the contractor that the sprinklers had to be removed. My question is does the pipe need to be removed as well? I couldn't find any specific code references for either. The job is in MA. Thoughts? Todd G.
