Subject: rated walls, doors, hardware sets

Here's a general question for the IBC savvy members:

If a wall is required to be 1 hr rated (or more), is it safe to assume
doors
in the wall will have some level of fire rating?

Is it safe to assume doors in the wall will have self-closures?

We often have to work with architectural plans that are very much
lacking in
details - to call them crappy is being kind. I usually feel confident
the
rated walls shown on the plan are accurate, but the door schedules
(including hardware sets) are too often an architectural afterthought.

Thanks in advance,

Ed Kramer
