Don't assume that application of change to other rack storage will also apply to tires. Tire protection is specific in the Standard.

We have 25 ft. high tire storage in portable racks in a 35 ft bldg. They want column sprinklers installed with the ESFR's because there is no specific exception (that I can find) for column sprinklers as there is in the 2007 Edition (18.2.4). There is not a bar in the margin next to 18.2.4 so I was looking for the same language in the 02 but I cannot find. Hopefully I'm just missing it as usual. Anyone know where it might be?
