We are still having problems with an FDC leaking. We replaced the FDC, removed
the ClaVal 581 check valve and cleaned it. We drilled a 2" hole in a cement
covered pipe and found one hole drilled is the life span of the hole saw.
Drilling the pipe makes a horrible noise also.

But we still have water being introduced into the underground pipe. The cement
covered pipe screws into a 4 inch galvanized pipe that exits vertically from
the ground. We could have a leaking 581 valve, we could have a leak in the
pipe and are having ground water forced into the pipe.

As usual, any and all suggestions are welcome. Someday, sometime, someone will
ask a question. I will jump up and wave my hand in the air, shouting "ME, ME!
I know the answer! Call on me!" Until then, everybody will just shake their
head and mutter, 'Him again"
