On the shop drawing side of our work, most contractors have been using all
QR for Light and Ord for quite a while. On the consulting side, we COULD
specify something other than the minimum, but normally do not- I will
discuss this latest thought (QR for Dry and PA, Ord Haz) with my AHJ, a.k.a.
the Boss.
Thanks, Brad

Requires QR for light hazard, but does NOT prohibit QR for the rest, so
since the cost of the Fire Sprinkler is about the same for SR and QR, why
not just use the QR and you'll at least feel like you gave them more than
was the Minimum?

NFPA 13, after '96, requires QR for light haz. Would there be any value in
terms of better FP if 13 also required QR for DRY and PA ORD1 and 2?
