Local by-laws require the locker room and garbage room of a residential building to be sprinklered. So about 9 heads required. The architect wants sprinkler system to be connected to the domestic cold water line. I know it's not a good idea due to non-fire valves, water meters and alarm requirements. Pro's and con's? Any specific code section prohibiting it? Thanks,
