Great thoughts and write-ups. (Y)

Sensible sprinklering to me means sprinklering everything, but more
economically, for Greeness' sake if nothing else. Since windshields are
required I have no doubt that everyday, real world engineering is done, with
testing to verify lowest cost without sacrificing life safety (generally).

We could start with OH2 and less. Since this is not HPR I think it has been
swept under the rug with the big safety factor broom, yet is a huge
percentage of our work.

I have been trying to put numbers to quantity and combustibility, and heat
release rate for low, moderate, and high from NFPA 13 off and on as my
understanding of how to do that improves. Based on required area/density, I
get safety factors that make me think I am, still, no good at math.

I will buckle down and on a new thread post some initial stuff that you
younger and/or more competent drivers of a better future NFPA 13 might not
have thought about yet, to take or leave what you will of it.

And so what if 10 years after (not the rock group) sprinklers have been made
even greener, the stats show that 3 or 4 heads control most fires, instead
of 1 or 2 like it was in the olden days (like before air bags).

p.s. The 'some stuff' I will be posting is a link to a video on U Tube-- I
will be too tired sometime next week to be running from any lynch mobs :)
