Obviously, there are countless situational variables, but I have been
told anecdotally that a 2 1/2" line when used on attack can be used
anywhere in the range of 150-400 gpm. At the high end, it's a
wrestling match and only used for outside streams.

Subject: actual hose flow

I know we assume a 250 gpm flow for a single fire hose. What is the
actual amount of water that is discharged from a 2-1/2" fire hose in a
fire situation?
