A customer has asked us to survey an existing sprinkler system in a 95,000
square foot building to see if it is adequate for storage of consumer
fireworks and alter the system accordingly. I don't see a single mention of
the word fireworks in NFPA 13 and NFPA 1124 the Code for the Manufacture,
Transportation, Storage, and Retail Sales of Fireworks and Pyrotechnic
Articles leaves me with the impression that it is impossible to protect

a building

with a water-based fire protection system that stores this type of product.

We plan to involve an architect as well as the AHJ before moving forward.

Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation?

Thanks.
